The resort is set in a beautiful location with plenty of activities to enjoy, from canoeing to hiking. The accommodations are comfortable and well-kept, but there were issues with bed bugs and unclear hiking directions which can be concerning. The dining options could use improvement, especially for families looking for quick meals after a day of activities, as the available eateries tend to have long wait times.

The three-bedroom lakeside villa was spacious and well-appointed, featuring a king-sized bed and a lovely view of the surrounding nature, including deer and kangaroos. However, the planned deluxe studio room was quite cramped, particularly for two people.
Service
7.0
The service at reception was helpful and cheerful, which made for an enjoyable check-in experience. However, the dining staff seemed somewhat limited in their ability to accommodate quick meal requests.
Location
9.0
The resort has a fantastic location, only a short drive from the ski tube and close to various outdoor activities, making it very convenient.
Dining
6.0
The breakfast included a great range in the buffet, but I found the dining options at the resort, especially for quick meals, to be lacking in variety and flexibility.
Facilities
7.0
The resort offers a variety of on-site activities like a gym and outdoor sports, but improvements are needed in signage, especially for hiking trails.

I had an incredible experience at this resort, from the best massage ever at the spa to a lovely stay in a mountain studio. The room was clean and well-equipped, and the location amidst nature was simply beautiful. However, the dining experience could use some improvement, especially during off-peak periods when the restaurant isn't fully operational. Overall, I loved the wildlife view and the various activities available for families.

The mountain studio I stayed in was clean and properly equipped, although it had a bit of a cold atmosphere with concrete floors.

The staff were welcoming, cheerful, and knowledgeable, which added to the relaxing experience of our stay.
Location

The resort is tucked inside the Kosciuszko National Park with stunning views and easy access to hiking and biking trails right from the front door.

Dining was a bit disappointing as the restaurant was not open at night during off-peak, leading to limited food options.

The resort offers a beautiful view and a spacious room, but the overall experience was marred by issues with cleanliness in the showers, inconsistent dining service, and noise from the floor above. The check-in process was smooth, and the amenities provided a good range of activities, but I expected better communication from the staff throughout our stay.

Rooms
7.0
The room was lovely, spacious, and offered a beautiful view overlooking the bush, but the shower cleanliness could really be improved.
Service
6.0
The service experience was mixed. While the check-in was pleasant and reception was quick, I found the lack of follow-up and communication disappointing, especially during some hiccups with dining.
Location
9.0
The resort is conveniently located close to Thredbo and the ski tube, making it easy to enjoy the beautiful scenery and access skiing opportunities.
Dining
6.0
Dining options were available, but the experience was disorganized and could have been better managed. Breakfast was nice but repetitive.
Facilities

The facilities, including the indoor pool and sauna, seemed to require an upgrade given the accommodation price.

I really enjoyed my stay at this resort, as it was surrounded by stunning natural beauty with views of the mountains and a lovely lake. The wildlife was plentiful, and I had fun with the various activities available. However, the dining options could use some improvement, as the breakfast was underwhelming and dining wait times were frustrating during peak periods.

Rooms
8.0
The accommodation was clean and comfortable, featuring full kitchens and beautiful views of either the lake or mountains. My apartment had everything I needed, though it wasn't serviced during my stay.
Service
7.0
While the staff were friendly and cheerful, they seemed a bit flustered during busy times which impacted the service level, especially in the dining areas.
Location
9.0
The resort is in a fantastic location, with easy access to numerous outdoor activities and walking trails. However, the roads around the resort can be busy, especially with families riding bikes near car traffic.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience left something to be desired. Breakfast was okay but not fresh, and during peak times, I faced long wait times at both on-site restaurants, which was a letdown.
Facilities
7.0
There are a lot of enjoyable facilities, including free activities like canoeing and archery, but I did experience some issues with hiking directions that could be improved.

Our stay at Lake Crackenback Resort was almost perfect. The two-bedroom luxury chalet we booked was stunning and truly 5-star, ideal for our family of four. The range of outdoor activities was fantastic, though we had some hiccups with dining options that weren't quite kid-friendly. Additionally, the lack of provided firewood for our fireplace was disappointing, especially considering the price. Overall, we loved the ambiance and activities, but some service improvements would enhance the experience.

Rooms
8.0
The chalet was beautifully appointed with a fully equipped kitchen and the most comfortable bed. It had plenty of heating but lacked bedside tables, making it awkward for reading.
Service
7.0
While the staff was friendly and attentive, we faced some frustrating moments when trying to order food for our children, particularly with the delayed takeout options.
Location
9.0
The resort's location on the lake was picturesque, providing easy access to a variety of outdoor activities, but it's a bit of a trek to find meals elsewhere.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was included and had a great variety; however, we were disappointed that brewed coffee wasn't complimentary and dinner options could be more suitable for families.
Facilities
8.0
The facilities were impressive with activities like archery, swimming, and mountain biking available but we were disappointed with the dining limits during our stay.
